2. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree not to share your account or allow others to access your account.

3. Account Eligibility

  • RadBytes is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older.
  • By using this Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
  • If you are under 18, you must not use this website.

4. Educational Purpose Only

  • RadBytes is an educational platform and is not intended to replace formal training or clinical decision-making.
  • Content and AI feedback are for learning and revision purposes only.

5. AI Feedback

  • Feedback and scores generated by our AI tutor (Cubey) are educational simulations and do not represent clinical judgement.
  • Users can request human review through the contact page if they believe AI feedback is incorrect.
  • Personalised feedback may include your name, job role, and other non-identifiable preferences (e.g., training year, language preference or learning goals) if provided on registration or via your profile page.

6. User Submissions

  • Users may be able to submit anonymised case files, reports, or educational material for use on the platform.
  • By submitting content, you confirm that it contains no patient-identifiable information, including names, dates of birth, patient identification numbers, facial features, or metadata that could lead to re-identification.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the material is appropriately anonymised in line with UK GDPR and professional standards. You remain the data controller for any content you submit.
  • By uploading, you retain ownership of your submissions but grant RadBytes a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to retain and use them for educational, research, and AI development purposes.
  • Once submissions are integrated into training datasets or AI systems, they may not be fully removable.
  • RadBytes reserves the right to remove any submissions that appear to contain identifiable data or compromise platform integrity.

7. Organisational Contributions

Organisations may contribute anonymised educational material (e.g., DICOM images, reports, structured data) to support radiology training and AI development on the RadBytes platform. Such contributions will only be used under the terms of a formal agreement (e.g., a Data Sharing Agreement or other information governance framework). Where such an agreement is in place:

  • The organisation confirms the material has been fully anonymised in accordance with UK GDPR and local information governance standards.
  • The data may be used to support education, improve AI learning tools, and contribute to research, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Once anonymised data is incorporated into training workflows or AI development, it may not be technically possible to remove it, though no identifiable information is retained.
  • We do not sell or commercially distribute contributed data without prior written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

  • RadBytes owns all original content it creates, including platform tools, AI feedback systems, and training modules.
  • Some educational cases and reports may be contributed by users or partner organisations. Contributors retain copyright over their original submissions but grant RadBytes a non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to use the content for education, research, and the development of AI-based tools.
  • This includes integration into training datasets, feedback systems, and educational modules.
  • This licence continues even if the contributor ceases using the platform, unless otherwise agreed in writing as part of a formal data-sharing agreement.
  • Contributors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate permissions or rights to submit any content, including that shared on behalf of an organisation.
  • Open-source components (e.g., OHIF, Cornerstone.js) are used under their respective licences. RadBytes does not claim ownership of third-party software.
  • No content on the platform may be reproduced, distributed, or modified without written permission from RadBytes or the original rights holder.

9. Platform Use and Restrictions

  • You must not misuse the platform or interfere with its operation.

  • These providers are bound by data protection agreements and standards, see our privacy policy.

13. AI-Driven Tools Terms of Use

RadBytes offers AI-driven tools and features (collectively referred to as the "AI Tools") for educational purposes. By accessing and using these tools, you agree to the following:

  • Purpose: These tools are for educational purposes only. They are not a substitute for clinical training or medical advice.
  • Limitations: AI feedback may be imperfect. Always interpret results critically and do not rely solely on AI for learning or decision-making.
  • Data Input: You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any text, image coordinates, or other data you input.
  • Personalisation: AI feedback may include your name, job role, and other non-identifiable educational preferences to tailor your learning experience. Cubey uses interaction history to personalise feedback and improve the relevance of educational responses.
  • Prohibited Use: Do not use the AI Tools for unlawful, abusive, or misleading purposes, or submit inappropriate content.
  • Accountability: Use of these tools implies understanding their limitations. Human review is available via the contact form if needed.

14. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time.
  • Please note that data previously submitted (e.g., anonymised cases) may remain in our systems if already integrated into educational or AI training datasets.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in cases of misuse, breach of terms, or legal obligation.

15. Cookies and Tracking
